Northbay's research and development leaps forward again
Why the lobster cube is proving to be the biggest step forward in lobster hatchery technology for more than 10 years.. We are currently working on a system which can be inserted into the lobster cube for ongrowing lobsters up to 85 mm in length and has a dual feeding system. Via a feeding tube or in solution upwelling.
New Lobster hachery Whitby
Northbay is currently working with the Whitby lobster hatchery we are helping to design an efficient system to produce up to 120,000 juveniles annually to support the local fishery. The aim of the project is also to transform the former fish market into a hatchery and visitor information center.
